ORDER PRINTS (non event
photos)
Images are custom
printed on archival fiber-based quality photographic paper in sizes
shown below. The paper is 300gsm museum rage with a beautiful semi-gloss
look and no optical brighteners or optimizers. Non-archival pearl
paper is also available. All prints will have approximately 1/4" white
border (they are not printed borderless). Actual image size may vary
slightly. Images are cropped to accommodate size, such as 8x10 and 11x14
will loose up to 2" of image to accommodate the size, since a 35mm camera
does not proportionally enlarge to 8x10. "Full frame" image can be specified,
which means that the full image will be printed on the specified paper
size, and will produce a larger white border on the longer sides of the
image to ensure that the full image is printed. If you have a special
request, please feel free to ask.
Print Prices: (prices do not include shipping). These
prices will increase once the website is finished in later 2008.

FULL
FRAME vs EDGE-TO-EDGE PRINTS
The
35mm camera does not correlate to the sizes of 5x7, or 8x10, or 11x14.
Thus, when images are printed at these sizes there is some loss of the
image, especially 8x10 and 11x14 where up to 2 inches will be lost. If
you do not want any of the
image
lost,
then specify "Full Frame," which means the full image will be printed
on the paper, and produce a white border on the 2 longest sides of the print
to ensure no loss of the image. If printing edge-to-edge means loss of essential
elements of the image, then the photographer will automatically print the image
as full frame.
MOUNTING
/ FRAMING
Images are shipped unmounted and unframed. Mounting is available
at an additional cost shown below. If you do the mounting, it is
recommended
that
you use a dry-mount with acid-free museum board. Mounting methods,
materials, and sprays will effect the archival nature of the print.
COPYRIGHT
Remember that all images are copyrighted. So, you may not alter or
publish any images without permission. Your purchase of either
the digital jpeg or
print does not imply or include transfer of any copyright or authorize
any use to produce, publish or distribute the images.
COLOR
DIFFERENCES
Color is viewed differently on every computer and output device. Your
prints will be produced with the highest quality of color management to
ensure accuracy of ICC standards with calibrated equipment as the images
were intended. However, they might look different and probably better
in print than on your computer.
AUTOGRAPHED or SIGNED
IMAGES
If you're ordering
an image that is either autographed by the model or signed by the artist,
then the signature will probably NOT be archival if it's directly on the
image. Even with archival pens the very nature of ink makes the signature
non-archival. The model will generally sign the front of an image with
a regular pen. I use archival quality pens and frequently use a silver
metallic ink pen. The only guarantee of an archival signature is with
a pencil on the mat frame board around the print, which would be a custom
order. If you order a print with the artist signature, you can specify
in the notes if you want either the archival ink pen or silver metallic
ink pen. Otherwise, it will be at the artist's choice.
DIGITAL
JPEGS
Digital jpegs are available
for event photos, not portfolio/portraits (except direct to the model).
When ordering a digital jpeg you need to specify the image size and number
of the file. The chart below can help you decide. If you have the capability
to resize the image, then ordering a larger size and reducing it is better
than having a smaller size and trying to enlarge it.
If you don't specify
a size, then we'll automatically send you an image that is 480x640, which
is an average size for email, printing and other flexible uses. When ordering
the 480x640.
All images are emailed
after completion of the payment transaction, but may not happen immediately.
