Ken,

Wow! Sarah and I enthusiastically thank you for your exceptional work before, during, and after our wedding. From our first phone call to receiving the photos, our experience working with you was outstanding.

We’re so happy that we went with our friend’s recommendation (you) instead of the dozen other photographers we had screened. In the first and second phone call, your patience as we went through our list of questions bordered on Herculean. Unlike some others who acted like salespeople, we immediately sensed your professionalism as a photographer. You were always quick to respond to calls and emails, not just before but also after we’d contracted to work together (which we’ve heard isn’t always the case).

The day of the wedding you worked tirelessly for six hours straight, nailing the shot list, honoring the spur-of-the-moment requests, and pursuing shots none of us would have thought to get--but which became some of our favorites. In addition, you dealt with the full range of personalities present at our wedding masterfully. You understand people well, and it shows in your poignant photographs.

We were shocked with how quickly we received the photos from you—far exceeding our expectations—and literally stunned to see some of the photos of the ceremony—it looked like you must have been right up there with the minister and the two of us to get that level of detail, but we never noticed you. Later, we checked with family and friends about whether photography (or the photographer) had been a distraction during the wedding, and every person said they’d had almost no awareness you were even there.

Afterward, you generously spent time on the phone with us helping us understand lots of options for printing and creating albums, a few of which would benefit you but most of which wouldn’t. For non-photographers who don’t know how to distinguish between (or even where to find) the range of options out there, this was an incredible gift.

If ever we were so lucky to have need for a professional photographer again, you’d be the first person we’d call. Thanks, Ken. You were amazing.
